Lesson 2 summary (11/09/2018)
- Recap of light dependent reactions including key words (photosystems, thylakoid membranes, photophosphorylation)
- Summary of products of cyclic and non-cyclic photophosphorylation
- Explanation of the role of ATP synthase in the thylakoid membranes
- Video showing the role of ATP synthase in generation of ATP - note how the H+ ions can be seen moving through the rotating section of the enzyme. It is this movement which generates the mechanical action
HOMEWORK - if you didn't complete a resit paper your homework is to complete this for next lesson
- if you DID complete a resit, complete the activities in the photosynthesis booklet up until "the light independent reactions"
